The Mercedes Unimog Four Wheel Drive 'go-anywhere' Adventure Vehicles are the ultimate in holiday transport.

These 'very serious' 4WD vehicles enable you to go places that other drivers can only dream of! The vehicles 'full-view' passenger cabin with its fully transparent roof & sides enables you to enjoy the raw grandeur of the majestic landscapes you can now visit.

Mercedes reliability with its individually sprung suspension & independent passengers cabin provides a comfortable ride without the rough & tumble of many other 4WD's.
Seating up to seventeen passengers our adventure vehicles are usually supplied with a local driver who's extensive knowledge of the country ensures that our visitors get to those often unheard of places that are the true New Zealand.

Your driver can also instruct you in off-road driving techniques so that you can also enjoy the excitement & adventure of driving the vehicle off-road yourself. (off-road driving does not require a special drivers licence.)

Vehicle hires include an optional luggage & equipment trailer, cellphone and/or a two way radio. We have a full range of Outfitters Clothing, camping & hiking equipment These can be hired for an additional small charge. For those who enjoy the outdoors, when you find a place you really enjoy then stay the night! Take your own camping gear to save accommodation costs and add flexibility to your holiday. Some sleeping space is also available inside the vehicle which is air conditioned.

Hire Options. Insurance of $15 per day is additional to the following prices. They include government tax. There is no cost for our driver on days that he is not driving.
- A per kilometre rate which includes our driver. Minimum of 500 km, prepaid hire required. This 'decide as you go' holiday option enjoys the benefits of a local drivers knowledge of places to visit current activity 'specials' which will enable you to save money on your holiday! In fact under certain conditions our drivers can guarantee to at least save you the cost of having him drive for you ! Cost for up to seventeen people is $2.25/km + $220/day our drivers fee. Cost includes fuel

· Dry hire where you provide the driver. Drivers need an NZ coach drivers licence for on-road driving and must have completed a four hour vehicle familiarisation & off-road driving course with us. This costs $40.( vehicle positioning fee may be payable in some cases.)
Cost for up to eighteen people is $2.15/km. Fuel is your own additional cost.

· Per day hire. Minimum hire period is seven days.
Cost for up to seventeen people is $490 per day + $220/day our driver fee. Fuel is your own extra cost.
